Using Your Credit Card Abroad

You know what it’s like, you’re there on holiday having a wonderful time and you need to withdraw some money from an ATM, perhaps to buy some souvenirs for family members or just having a little extra on you in case you want to eat out that evening. After finding a machine, you insert your card, type in your pin number and wait for the amount information screen. However, your card may not be valid for use abroad – so you could have quite a shock when the cash machine rejects the transaction, causing a little holiday stress.
